I would argue that they never TRUELY believed in the first place, but I'll leave that to God that's all i ever wanted to convey. that it is possible to reject Christ after at least convincing yourself that you at one time believed. you say that they never believed in the first place, and i say that you can believe and then make a conscious choice to not believe. it's not worth squabbling over the semantics.Did David lose his salvation? he did ask God to restore his salvation. why ask for something to be restored if it was never lost? You are giving the impression that sinning after salvation jeopardizes that salvation. i never said anything of the sort. i used david and peter as examples repeatedly to show how you can sin yet still return to the Lord. i did speak to a loss of faith in Christ, which is entirely different. judas hung himself, showing he had lost faith. king saul killed himself as well, and although it's not explicitly stated as with judas, it seems pretty safe to say that he was not saved. i don't see how you could argue that he was never saved in the first place. the scripture says "there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he". he was anointed by the prophet samuel and God chose him to be the first king of israel. If I am missing your views, please explain in detail what you think will actually lose one's salvation. you aren't just missing my views, you have been misstating my views. i have said over and over, losing faith in Christ to the point of blaspheming the Holy Spirit (grieving it away) will cause you to lose your salvation.
