a firm rebuke

If you say a firm rebuke is what you were going for, fine. However, tossing out to someone, "Hey chew on this" is not usually considered a rebuke. It is an in your face challenge. It is an in your face challenge usually issued right before someone smugly presents his point. At least where I come from that is what it is.

It is not a lead in to a reasoned discussion it is the author going for a slam dunk "I'm right you are wrong" type of point. Which is the very type of point you say you are not trying to make. I'm reading the thread here, man. That's all I'm doing. I'm not versed enough to debate with you boys, I consider myself quite new in Christ, am still on my first time through the Bible, still struggle daily with my sins, so I stay quiet.

the word of God will prove each of us right or wrong. why do you think i like to quote it so much

That is a very interesting statement. You are using the word of God as your words? When asked to explain a point you quote from the Word rather than give us your thoughts and interpretations? I'm trying to see where you are going here. I would need a thorough understanding before scritpure quotes became my vocabulary.

if some or part of my posts are worthy of your attention, how come there are hardly any posts from you addressing those?

There's a preacher on the radio I listen to. He told a story of when he was in college. He said he was Joe popular. Well liked, successful. He got into a prayer group and before he knew it, he was on fire for the Lord. He felt driven to study, driven to learn scripture, he felt called to ministry. His Bible study became his life. When people would talk to him, he started sprinkling his responses with scripture. Most of his friends were impressed with how fast he was learning the Bible. Soon, he was quoting scripture far and wide to all who would listen. He was quoting it to these people as responses to their questions. One day, he saw an old friend from that Bible study class. He went up to him and began talking. The guy said to him, yeah I remember you. You USED TO BE a really nice guy, fun to be around. Now all you do is quote scripture at people, nobody can talk with you and see what you think about things. Then he left the preacher standing there, open mouthed, with a thought up scripture dangling from his lips.......

When I asked you my first question, you quoted me scripture, "Thou hast said" rather than answer me. I am new to Christ, but I do know you are not Him and when you answer me with His quotes, it is hard to understand what point you are trying to make. So, I read your posts, but don't comment.
