Or it could be a parable to teach us a lesson about how to live to maximize our happiness - which is God's desire for us. I would dare say that teaching us how to be happy on Earth is more important to God than teaching us how He made Earth. Jesus had a very specific purpose for creating the heavens and the earth in six days. He is laying down the principle of six days work and a seventh day of rest so we will be equipped to know when the second coming will be. if you want to know when your Savior Jesus will return, you will need to read the whole bible, and recognize the principle of six days laid forth in genesis.
