Well put Neo, the French appear to be deluding themselves into believing in the notion they can plan bureaucratically better than a messy market driven economy.

Since their best and brightest seek to become government bureaucrats, they've done a better than average job than most. However, just like every socialist model, time will steadily and systematically erode what looked promising at the outset.
