That comment pretty well answers the exchanges we have had on "Comparative Religions."

I think I prefer to live in a secular country. The advantage that nominally Christian countries have over Muslim ones is not that Christianity is an easier religion to deal with, but that the populations of Christina countries have succeeded in forcing religion back into the church, and locking the door. Muslim countries haven't managed to do that yet, less because of any characteristic of the religion than because of their comparative political and economic underdevelopment.

Of course only unceasing vigilance keeps Christianity in the church. If it ever gets out, and regains State power, we'll be back to the Dark Ages.....
