The problem is, of course, it probably would have been a Trojan Horse to get logging in, and the logging has been hideous. So no one has clean hands- although I'm sure Fox would like it to be all about the bad environmentalists. The environmentalists (at least the sane ones) aren't against cleaning up the dead wood- but no one commercial wants to just take the dead wood- do you get it?

It probably would have helped if the state could have gotten FEMA money to hire people to take the dead wood out so they wouldn't have to rely on loggers, who have been less than trustworthy guardians of our national resources.
