Sidney - you are hearing things aright - Daniel - the man
who stood among 'hungry' lions without physical harm...
said many things that most 'christians' refuse to accept!!!

One of those things was involving the 'timing' of things.

The other was the end of certain 'gifts'

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city,
to finish the transgression,
and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity,
and to bring in everlasting righteousness,
and to seal up the vision and prophecy,
and to anoint the most Holy.

Anointing the 'Most Holy' is about Christ Jesus..

sealing up.. prophecy - is about the end of writing scripture...
Screw those who think they have an 'unction' of the Holy Spirit
to the church of today
- Daniel was not wrong - they, of today, are false !@!

Dan 9:24 to finish the transgression, = = = Matthew 23:32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.

Let me explain what 'miracles' do.

What happened to all those people Jesus healed?

Most or perhaps all of them later died.

God 'could' heal all and every disease if He so desired.

God could rain manna from heaven and feed
all the starving people in the whole world if He so desired.

It only stands to reason that God does not desire to do so.

He rained down manna on a very unthankful and faithless bunch
for 40 years in the wilderness when He did desire to do so.

The first we hear of 'miracles' is with Moses - 'a type of Christ'

Moses had the power to change his staff into a snake and
his hand into leprosy and back again - power over the most feared disease.

The Miracles were a Sign that God Himself had Chosen Moses to speak for Him

That pattern holds true for all the gifts.

Deuteronomy 6:22 And the LORD shewed signs and wonders,
great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh,
and upon all his household, before our eyes:

Heb 2:3 how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation?
which having at the first been spoken through the Lord,
was confirmed unto us by them that heard;
4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders,
and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

The Lord = Jesus
Then that heard Him = Apostles (include Paul born "out of season")

Once the scripture were complete and Israel Judged and Christ having returned
there was no more need of such witness from God - that which was "perfect" was here -
The Gospel Kingdom and the completed Word of God - the Bible.

I could show you a lot of scriptures to confirm that indeed no
'workers of miracles' existed after that period 'as a witness' to anyone as being sent of GOd.

Do miracles still occur? Do healings still occur?

I believe that God has not bound HImself that no such things occur
but He has bound Himself that the "GIFTS" of healings are no
longer here.

Daniel prophecied it and the New Testament even prove
that such was the case in the life of even Paul.

Paul went blind - no healing - Paul left others behind sick.

2 Timothy 4:20 Erastus abode at Corinth:
but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.

If you are opening to hearing it - I could plainly show just exactly how the "GIFTS" worked
- I could also explain what biblical love means -
if you are interested in knowing.
