Go ahead. I'm listening. I would say, though, that the miracle gifts were there when the disciples were preaching Jesus after He ascended. The book of acts if full of miracles. And I do think that any (if there was any lack) lack of miracles afterwards was from a lack of faith. Faith, real faith, is a power. When activated things happen. Faith was lost, miracles were few in later times. The Holy Spirit is the agent for doing the miracles when the faith goes forth. Unbelief disables faith and miracles. Miracles were ,as you said, for a sign too. And it must be God's will whatever is prayed. These thorns in the flesh; there existence does not really mean that miracles were not going on at that time. Miracles might have been so commonplace that they were not written about anymore. It does not say anywhere that hey, where are the miracles? And that would seem to me to be worthy of mention at that time of miracles. These are just some thoughts and nothing unfriendly is meant by them.
