Your Republican President and Republican Congress support raising those entitlements. That is what the Medicare Bill is all about.

Pray tell which votes were "bought" with SS and Medicare, considering the beneficiaries have to pay for it out of their paychecks.? Do you really believe anyone LIKES having deductions from their paychecks? You're dreaming a wild conspiracy theory. SS and Medicare have up until recently been largely supported by both parties, but the elitists on the right now want corporations and affluent people to be taken out of the whole picture and to make the majority pay the HMO's out of their own pockets. That socks it to millions of sick and injured people who don't happen to be wealthy. And guess what, when they dont have insurance it costs society even more when they stagger into the emergency rooms pleading for help. SS and Medicare are good things, though they always need to be scrutinized carefully to watch out for abuses and waste, like anything else. Problem now is many on the right want to spend the entitlement money and dump the programs that have already been paid for, a huge robbery of the average citizens byt the elite and corporate interests.
