Interesting material. What was the source?

That summary sounds right.

But I have a question about "paid bashers." Has this ever been established that this is a significant component of basher work? I have never seen a news story about someone actually caught doing this (presumably this would be against the law, or at least something that could cause one to lose a license, be subject to a civil lawsuit). I would concede the possibility, and no doubt is sometimes occurs, especially with penny stocks. Could be paid bashers and dumpers both.

While paid bashers may be there, I am inclined to think most of the bashing is done by small time players, often who have a bit of personality disorder, and find the boards a good place to be a pain in the ass, for the simple pleasure of it.
