That summary is not "about right"...its reallly ....realllly on target as it relates to KVHI Yahoo thread!

My view is that Paid Bashers are hired by large firms running programs to whatever end they or their clients seek. Whether thats wresting control of large share numbers ahead of a M&A program or just freeing up stock so they can satisfy demand in size from multiple clients, what is certain is there are programs designed and implemented to whatever the intent is of those who hired it on. Arb firms may have departments who hire the talent (PHD Pshych, Anthropology and Sociology ) to script these programs.

So I am of the opposite view than you. The programs I monitor are all too sophisticated to be a collections of disparate parts arranged by chance. Currently monitoring 17 programs actively.

My efforts in developing Obfuscation metrics is directly related to my observation and cataloging of pattern recognition of human factors at work in the markets.

Please dont ask what Obfuscation metrics are...because this threads about KVHI, not me.

There was in interesting case a few years ago in which a 15 or 16 year old make quite a killing by trading in cheap stocks online, supplementing his activities by bashing on the message boards prior to shorting. As I recall he got off with a slap on the wrist, and was able to keep his profits. He did indeed use multiple ID's as part of his activities.
