A lot of things could have been different after war in Iraq.. then we are still at war and in battle you adjust..

Not being there it is hard to say why they didn't want to keep Iraq Army together other than many of the leaders were loyal to Saddam and it may have been a situation of not being able to tell who was who.. Perhaps things could have been a lot worse if they kept the Army together?

The best long term scenario for the Democrats is for Bush to win a second term. The frantic attempts to reflate the bubble will backfire terribly, IMO, after 2004, and the Democrats will return in triumph in 2008, probably with Hillary at the helm.
