I think if the U.S. had more enlightened policies, we wouldn't have a Middle Eastern terrorist problem in the first place. We should have put our full weight behind a Middle East peace between the Isrealies and Palestinians years ago. It would have been done by now or been a lot closer to fruitition if we had. We also should have been working to make our economy a lot more efficient and less reliant on Mid-East oil (by using alternatives), so we don't have to be so entangled in the Middle East with troops in Saudi Arabia, which is the main reason Osama Bin Laden cited for attacking the U.S. on 9/11/01. Interesting that we weren't the target of Middle Eastern terrorist until we started stationing troops in the region. In any case, if the RepubliCONS really are interested in dealing with WMDs and terrorists, why not deal with the ones in the former Soviet Union countries that had tons of WMDs at one point, North Korea which has WMDs right now and the terrorist ties in Saudi Arabia? I don't think there's much justification for so much attention on Iraq, especially spending so much money on Iraq's infrastruction when our own infrastructure is crumbling. Why are our priorities so focused outside of this country?
