Kerry first and Dean dead last vs. Bush in ABC poll:
This is the main reason a vote for Dean is actually going to be a vote for Bush, and why all Bushies are getting behind the Dean campaign now. Kerry-Clark to beat Bush, unbeatable.

"A newly released Washington Post-ABC news poll conducted October 26-29 confirms that Kerry polls best among the leading Democrats and is in the strongest position to take on George W. Bush, far outpolling Howard Dean and Wesley Clark.

Matchups: Percentage Margin
George Bush 50% - 6
John Kerry 44%
____________
George Bush 54% - 15
Howard Dean 39%
____________
George Bush 51% - 11
Wesley Clark 40%
____________
George Bush 51% - 9
Dick Gephardt 42%

In fact, this poll shows that Howard Dean would get trounced in a head-to-head election against the President. Dean polls the worst among Kerry, Clark, Gephardt and Dean against President Bush.

Clearly, Howard Dean has not broadened his appeal – and never will – to a larger audience. His message of anger without answers, of division and political expediency leaves most American voters out in the cold.

John Kerry, with his experience, strength, life story and vision for the country, is the only candidate in the field who can beat George Bush next November and take back the White House.
