we used to sift through the coins from the pool tables pin ball machines and juke box back in the mid/late 60s when my dad owned a bad.
Of course, unlike you, he never sold.
DOH!
Hey, I gave him some encouraging news a year or two ago.
Told him he might get a second chance here here in his life time.
He doesn't believe me, he ain't holding his breath.

I had an aunt who worked as a bank teller quite a few years back, and she occasionally saved the silver dimes and quarters for me.

Earlier this year my wife handed me a "funny looking dime" that she got as change from the grocery store. It was a 1964 piece, so it seems that some o' dem coins still get loose once in awhile.
