You are mistaken. No one said that he was within one year of having nukes. What was said was that they did not know, it could be a year or a half dozen years. No one said that that he had missiles to reach Europe, what was said was that he was working on acquiring a longer range capacity. It was said that there were ties to Al Qaida, which is true. With fluctuating intelligence, the Administration long ago said it could not establish a connection between Al Qaida and 9-11. As for the BS, all assertions were on the basis of best intelligence. If there were a scam going on, it was run by the Iraqis.
