You want to blame Bush for that and let the party of special interests off the hook?

I want to blame Bush for the fact that we went from a budget surplus to the largest deficit ever in less than 3 years, that is all. I want to blame Bush for spending almost 500 billion in 3 years, a feat not many would have thought possible 5 years ago. As far as blaming congress, we have a republican controlled congress as you know.

I have to say, listening to republicans defend Bush's fiscal mismanagement is really bizarre. If a democrat had spent to this degree, republicans would be screaming bloody murder, I think we all know that. Somehow because the money went to a different set of people (vs. who the dems would have given it to) somehow gets defended by republicans. If Arnold mismanages California to the degree that Bush has mismanaged the US, the voters will drop him like a rock. Bush is the national version of Davis, I don't know why you defend him.

Farm subsidies are not a Bush thing, they are a bipartisan, special-interest, farm state thing.

I agree (for once).
