You are ranting Hawk. We did not want to yield authority to the UN and without that we won't get the support we need. The UN resolution we did get was cosmetic -- we needed something real, not just an airbrushing for our army of occupation. This administration is prepared to watch our troops die rather than yield control over the political process. So long as that is the case we will have to be satisfied with offering our sons and daughters as target practice in an increasingly unstable Iraq.
