I admit I don't know what the criteria is for UN contributions. It might be tied to GDP of each country? If in fact the US contribution is disproportinate to the rest of the world, then you do have a right to be pissed off.

<I am glad that you find it amusing that my tax money is wasted on UN.>......I don't find it amusing at all but I don't think that we should give up on the UN. You should also be unhappy that congress granted Bush his $86B to rebuild Iraq. There must be hospitals/schools/daycare/elderly in the US that need that money. And keep in mind, that money is a direct transfer of funds from your pocket to the pockets of Halliburton/KBR/Bechtal/Defence contractors/etc....The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Re thx & thx again was related to my brother in law from Memphis. He asked me why the price of gasoline in Canada was so high......I replied that we were probably subsidizing cheap US gasoline prices at the pump.....he in turn replied, thx, keep up the good work

< US should not fund largest anti-US organization>......I don't understand why you think the UN is anti US.It was the US that told the UN to go take a "flying f###" at a rolling donut". Then Bush/Cheney/Rummy/Perle? waltzed into Iraq......with the coalition of the willing?.....hell even Powell had to be coerced. He was on the outside looking in until he finally fell into the party line.

<not yet, un representatives are still running stops signs in NY>.......geez, those New Yorkers will shoot the bastards:o)
