I'm not sure what you mean by: The unemployment rate will be steady. Largely because people dropped off the rolls.

If you don't have a job and are available for work you are classed as unemployed (if you have actively looked for work in the prior 4 weeks).

BWAC, do I detect some sarcasm here;-) My, My - methinks you are a little suspicious of the numbers;-)

Do you think "they" are just a little incompetent, or maybe "they" are "cooking the books", or perhaps a little of both?

<<Unemployed will fall, yet the Employed won't increase. Where'd they go?>>

I don't know really - perhaps to the Land of Oz?;-)

<<Hourly earnings will be up.

Average Workweek will be up.>>

Thanks for the info - now I won't have to wait for morning to get the news - I heard it right here!

<<I'm certain they will all be reported better than expected. And I don't belive one bit of it based on what I see in real life.>>

Whew! - what a disbeliever! I see where "these guys" are going to have to do a lot of convincing to make you feel better about the present situation;-)

In the meantime, the "market" will continue on its upward course. Not to worry about a lack of jobs, if that is the reported case tomorrow - the "market" will know how to sweep any negative news "under the rug" - it has been doing so for some time now.

Don

Government data, lol. How about the inflation numbers? Does anybody really believe we don't have inflation? This is the only reason we have these absurdly low interest rates.

I guess if all you buy is cheap goods from China, there's no inflation. I know food is not core inflation, but I'm seeing 50 percent price increases in the last 5 years. And why housing prices in not part of the numbers is beyond me.
