To: Faultline, Win, NeoCon, Ish, jerry, Nadine:

We cannot discuss most Foreign Affairs, if anti-semitism and anti-Zionism are equated.

Win: whenever you make any anti-Zionist statement, you have to understand it will be misunderstood by many as anti-semitism. So: make it explicit, with examples, in detail, that you are criticising a political movement, not a religion or race. You will still be misunderstood, but just keep giving details and examples of the difference.

Ish et all: I know you think Win and I are anti-semites. You've said it many times. I've worked with, dated, lived with Jews. My position is that continuing the Zionist program is leading to a second Holocaust, and so Zionism must be abandoned. If I was an anti-semite, I'd back Sharon's methods, since I think those methods will eventually lead to nuclear weapons being used against Israel.

When Israel is discussed, the posts degenerate into hurling epithets of Warmonger vs. JewHater. Win and I contribute to the name-calling, too. Name-calling is not interesting or useful.

Ken: I think you need to ban them all for a day, and me too if I deserve it, whenever the thread degenerates to this name-calling. No need to even explain, we'll all know why.
