This shows how much sense they make.

For generations, a popular, if not a dominant notion among the European intelligentsia was to "equate" the USA and the USSR. Both were supposed to be dangerous beasts, hungry for a fight, poised to destroy Europe because of their conflict, of which they, the wise and world weary deep thinking Europeans - presumably - were not part of.

This shows how much sense they were making back then, so soon after the US at a great cost helped drag their behinds out of the hellish nightmare of Nazism, into which they in their profound wisdom allowed themselves to slide into.

In effect, what the Euro's are saying is that if only those crazy Americans and the Jews would go away, the Islamists and the Palestinians would be happy, and "we" would be left alone.

Results of this "poll" seem to reflect misinformation, vague xenophobia (to say the least) - along with downright parochialism and shortsightedness...
