You know AC you don't need to go too far back in the past to see atrocities by the US or Canada or Britain or any number of democracies....

Is the murder and starvation of 30 million worse than the wiping out of the indigenous peoples of North America or the enslavement (have you ever read up how they were transported ?) by democracies. Is it simply a quantitative issue ? The US has come a long way in just the last 40 years I can tell you from personal experience as I'm sure many others on this thread can. Where do you think China will be in 25 years ? Or better in 50 years these issues will be as moot as slavery in the US.. Don't live in the past..

Besides you yourself paraphrased Churhill's sentiment that democracy sucks... it just sucks less. So far anyway.
