The only disagreement was over containment vs. invasion. Since the United States had to provide the means in either case, it made sense to take care of the problem once and fo all. For one thing, we could not depend on containment indefinitely. All that it would have taken was a rash of terrorist incidents against our personnel, and there would be calls to bring the troops home. After that, Saddam or one of his sons would have ginned everything back up, that much Kay has made clear.........
