First, it's not clear that we're fighting the war on _terrorism_ "over there," since no WMD have been found, Saddam's military proved to be no serious threat, and no significant Al Queda link has been shown. At best, we seem to have removed a bad guy we previously supported and blown up a bunch of stuff we're now going to replace with better stuff at the expense of American taxpayers. At worst, we've entered a quagmire and stirred up the hornets therein. Second, fighting "over there" does NOT mean we don't have to fight "over here," too. The kind of operation Al Queda runs can easily operate on multiple fronts.
