I believe pretty strongly in a woman's right to choose (to the point where the fetus is viable). At the same time, given that I believe that it is entirely the woman's right to choose whether to have a baby, I think it entirely fair that the unmarried father should have the right to choose whether or not to support a child born against his wishes.

good post
let me just say
"ditto"

I'm glad that you recognize my sterling qualities. <g>

You're absolutely right IF you believe that there is only one person, the mother, whose needs and rights are to be considered.

But if there is a second person involved, the child, who also has needs and rights, then it gets quite different. Then you have to ask, does a child deserve to die because its mother picked the wrong guy to be the sperm provider?

I sound like a broken record here, I know, but we do always come back to that same point, and we never resolve it. Until we do, we cannot resolve the abortion issue.

Gee.

I'm happy to see X saying amen to my being a model father.

Shows she knows what she's talking about in at least one instance.
