Ted,

In the past, its the same argument used to justify the largest defense budget on the planet. Now its being used to justify pre emptive war. Next it will be used to justify taking over the world. There is no end to the paranoia.

Your paranoia?

Joe

1 - The point was that Bush was attacked inaccurately. If you support a false statement and then when you find out the real statement you don't like that either you should at least acknowledge that the original statement was false rather then just saying "What an absolute crock!"

2 - Joe had a point with the "your paranoia?" question.

" In the past, its the same argument used to justify the largest defense budget on the planet. Now its being used to justify pre emptive war. Next it will be used to justify taking over the world. "

Is rather paranoid. Also even as a description of past events its rather inaccurate. We had the largest defense budget in the world long before Bush's statement, or Bush's election. At least since Reagan's defense budgets, probably since Vietnam and quite possibly since the 50s or even since '42 we have had the largest defense budget in the world.
