Asset sales - As Jay has noted , if the buyers of Japanese, they get to buy Peeble Beach or Rockefeller Center at the top of the market.

Europeans bought a bunch of dot com stocks WAY late. Also Global Crossing Debt....

Funny, some things like natural gas royalty trusts don't get marketed heavily to Europeans.

On the flip side, Americans are the largest holders of Nokia - more than the Finns.

Another view - if the net 14 Trillion financial produces about 5% more financail assests a year, that's 700 million in new assests which can be sold.

What has been the growth rate of the financial assets, taking out the late 1990s with all the IPOs ?
