Sorry, but I find that to be a better basis for argument for or against any particular nominee - i.e. whether they are likely to be an activist, legislate-from-the-bench kind of judge or one who impartially rules based on the laws made in accordance with the constitution.

BTW, the best argument against changing the filibuster rule is that consent by a simple majority may politicize judgeships even more, allowing activist judges who just happen to support currently popular causes to be approved by a margin of as little as one vote, possibly gained through political horse-trading in the senate for some unrelated concession or pork project. In other words, the cure for Schumer could be worse than the disease.

Crap, this devil's advocate role is giving me whiplash. ;-)
