I look on this as a really elusive number. The "Guerillas" who are Sunnis on Saddam's payroll can be ground down by us pretty well. We will take a lot of Civilians with them, but we will get them.

The ones the Iraqis can get are the Al Qaeda types who are Foreigners. We have a hard time recognizing them, but they are "sore thumbs" to the Iraqis.

Just curious...do you have a source for the 5,000 figure?
I have heard...perhaps 20,000.

I also believe we are making daily progress and it ain't all being reported.
