Nixon's economic policies were just awful. He goosed the economy in 1971 by huge deficit spending to insure his election. The hangover after the 1972 election was terrible. We will also have a hang over from what Bush is doing right now.

JFK wasn't there long enough to rate. It's true he brought us to the brink, but I think he was right and history proved him so. Would you have wanted Soviet missiles in Cuba? As for Poppy, he wasn't so bad, just a one-termer anyway. I didn't agree with his war either. I agree that Nixon was the strongest foreign policy president, but like Clinton, he had some personal flaws, grandiose ideas, etc. Remember, Kissinger talked him out of going nuclear in Nam! What's amazing is how bad Bush has been, the damage he has caused in such a brief time! I think if we get another term of him, we really will be a banana republic! Why can't he just take up golf or something.
