<Read the American press. Generally, American press is respectful of Islam and of Muslim civilizations.> Actually, I've almost entirely quit reading the mainstream U.S. press. It goes on and on about irrelevancies. And it is consistently disrespectful of any and all foreign cultures. Not just Islam, but French and Chinese and.....the list is long. Both sides pretend to be Objective. Their demonisation of Others, they think of as just the simple honest truth, almost self-evident, too obvious to even debate it. A statement such as, "I'm being objective and fair, this is just the facts", is a Red Flag, notifying you that what comes next is a Big Whopper. And when they say their biases are "well-known" or "generally acknowledged" or "my whole kindergarden agrees with it", that means their Whopper is based on the Madness of Crowds and Popular Delusions and the type of "facts" that impress and convince kindergardeners.
