I have known many guys who have done the 12 step program.

After Shadel, I never had to attend meetings. And I could take addictive drugs without a problem. There is no one "right way" for these kind of problems.

the body and nervous system is something we still do not understand... For some it is the memories of events and if they go back to that place it will trigger overwhelming desire to drink or drug.. The nerves just explode . It could be a holiday, vacation that you used to take with the family , business activities, thousands of reasons why people use substances..

If a person has put those events behind that caused abuse they may be able to have a drink... Others if the body and nervous system broke down then one drink could relapse them completely... You never know so why bother.. drink ice tea like i do and you never miss it.
