Well, I think gold has it's own dynamics - with expiry exactly
in a week, there are roughly 75,000 calls in the money, and
only 10 puts. I'd say "were", as of this morning -g-

So, I'm not sure about someone trashing gold to save the
dollar. Granted, someone is trashing it, but that might be
for their own selfish reasons -g-. I see a lot of treasury
bond buying, too. Perhaps, it's the foreigners who don't want
lower dollar.
