patents are ok but I am for open markets like every other industry in the US. I am not for protecting any industry and just because pharmas are heavy GOP donors should not make them immune.

If Merck chooses to sell a drug into canada at $xxx then that needs to be a fair price where Merck feels they can make money. Afaik Merck is not forced to sell any drug into Canada or anywhere. What they should not be doing, which they have been doing, is using US citizens to subsidize their market share grab in the world.

Now with these bogus GOP drug plans the US taxpayers are going to have to subsidize the drug industry and its worldwide market share grab. No thanks.

We've got a free market system here, it has helped a lot of people and hurt a lot of people and the GOP donor industries have to play like everybody else.
