Hi Ski,
This is not about the last election. The fact is that even if Bush had had a 2:1 majority, he still would have fallen far short of representing most Americans. My point as I explained to Hawk is that if one feels the game is rigged and stops to play because say no corporate money would flow to the candidates who'd represent his views, and if there are enough of such unrepresented people to make up a big portion of the society (say if you added them to the supporters of the losing candidate) then does the government still have a moral legitimacy?
