Yes the fact that I have an open mind is a good thing. Open mind? Now that is a joke. If one looks long and hard and under every rock, then one can find something to refute almost anything someone says.........and that's what you do with most of my posts. Of course that's not really what you meant by your comment. But I guess sarcasm is easier then dealing with the facts. The article you quoted made a big issue of the idea that an unjust state can not survive. I don't think that's true That's exactly true..........unjust states do not survive; to whit, Saddam Hussein's. if it is the Arab states (and the Palestinian Administration under Arafat) are more unjust to Arabs then Israel is to Arabs. Do you really believe the bilge you put out? Your comment above is ludicrous. Israel is withholding the freedom of Palestinians......how is that any different from any other tyrant? A reasonable argument can be made that Israel as a democracy and an ally and a recipient of a lot of aid should be held to a higher standard. I won't argue against that idea but if we are to hold Israel to a higher standard that fact should be recognized. The standard is not high......its low. Israel can possibly be looked at as not meeting that higher standard (even if the US might also not meet the standard if we were surrounded by hostile countries and subject to almost daily suicide bombings), but it meets and exceeds any standard the Palestinians or any Arab country can meet. Pure meaningless rhetoric.......you believe what you want to believe just like Sharon. His gov't will topple.....sooner rather than later. If its true that "A state lacking justice cannot survive", then perhaps a majority of states in the world, and probably all of the Arab states won't last long. They haven't.........look at the history of the ME......even the USSR collapsed eventually. You need to check the facts before criticizing. ted
