True. But do you really think the UN can be bullied into accepting positions, without diplomacy?

That's apparently what the Bush administration intends to keep doing.

It doesn't look like it's working.

It's the old "Bell the Cat" problem. Everybody wants it done, but we and the Israelis are the only ones that will.

The Israelis have been belling that cat for a long time, and they have not eliminated terrorism, or made their citizens safer. If anything, they are at greater risk today than they ever have been.

We might want to consider this when developing our own tactics. One prefers to emulate success, or, if no success is available, to at least avoid emulating failure.
