Particularly for working women, I think being single is actually easier. At least, the women I get divorced seem to live better lives -

All the ladies I dance with are divorced, and much better off that way. But they never give up looking. I have a weekly gossip rundown with them about our "Peyton Place."

They date a man, and are starry eyed for a month, and then it blows up. Over and over and over.

I suspect this "same sex marriage" issue has got more to do with some rights they are supposedly not permitted :

- right of inheritance
- parental custody
- visitation right if the spouse in a hospital
- maybe medicare and similar health care rights
- etc etc

I would not know the details, cause I dont belong in that category.
