Something I've noticed about Italians, especially Italian men, they are very into looking a certain way in public. From slicking back their hair, to wearing the most expensive designer shirt, they are into external signs of success. Coming from the Northwest I had become pretty much immune to that sort of thing. You could rarely tell a wealthy person from a middle class one except by the house they lived in and few cared about that. Italians live in box size houses but by fancy cars, fancy cell-phones and fancy clothes. Different culture I suppose...
