With GG you are preaching to the choir here. I have a nice slug in margin.

There is probably no better risk/reward ratio for any stock on the NYSE. Other PM stocks have perhaps more leverage but they area also much much more risky. If POG follows Prechter and returns one last time to $250 (which I seriously doubt), GG will survive and even be profitable unlike just about all of the others.

To your list of attribute I would add its role as a reverse hedger-holding back production. (Of course I know you are well aware of this).

<For these reasons I am limiting myself to have no or little exposure to in no particular order China (and all of Asia), Russia (and all former Soviet), Africa (including and especially SA which is a quagmire IMO), Venezuela (no explanation needed). I am wary of certain other Central and South American Countries as well.>

I agree about Russia, South Africa, the rest of Africa and Venezuela.

China will present some tremendous bargains soon if this sell off continues. I think there will be no problems with China. The Vet has presented some compelling arguments for GRZ in Venezuela. He does a very sober analysis, seems to know the situation intimately and has a great track record.

I would not lump in all of the former Russian Empire with Russia. Some big money is to be made there IMO.

EPMu has excellent potential IMO

However when push comes to shove, I tend to agree with you and I have tried to maintain positions with Canadian and US deposits. I love Nevada:

VIT FWIW is a Calandra favorite as well as having BGO as a large stockholder. THe only Calandra push job I own to my knowledge-I bought it before I saw him mention it.

I hate South Africa

Marcos here mentions XCL and adds to our South African thoughts.

Andrew,
Well said. I think one of the gold mutual funds should hire you as their portfolio manager. Seriously.
