Terry,

We are having our first serious snow storm today. The woods with the new fallen snow is beautiful as long as I can look at it through windows.

>>CB has started talking about easing if the loonie rises much more,

Why would they do this? Your costs of those things that are traded in US dollars like oil, gas, etc. are getting cheaper or at least staying stable in price. I am sure the producers of some commodities are putting heat on because of rising costs, but most of these producers are realizing higher prices for their products. What am I missing?

>>clownbuck and commodities are headed toward their true values ... <g>

Now just exactly what do you think the clownbuck is worth??? Don't answer this question because snow will send the justice department across the border to find you. <g>

Terry,

What is your definition of long term?

I was looking at some Canadian government debt the other day and there was a 200 basis point advantage to buying your debt vs CD's here in the states six months out in time. As the time increased I was quoted an increasing spread between the CD's and Canadian debt. I was looking at inventory out through 2007.
