If Federal legislation required all employers provide a minimum preventative insurance coverage the playing field would be even.

The problem is that when someone is irresponsible, the taxpayer pays. Instead of paying for preventative care people let problems stew until they have to go to the ER.

Who knows, since the government is already so big in medical insurance maybe the logical next step is the government covering it.

What bothers me is some data I have seen that the lack of $1 of preventative care results in several multiples higher of corrective care. Especially with prenatal care in poor areas.

Many Wallmart families cannot afford to pay for the insurance of the bills.
