I am not asking for anyones sympathy. I am just explaining a problem that have huge implications for our future. I have no proposals about how to better the situation.
The escalating cost of college, child care, medical insurance, housing etc etc makes it almost impossible for some of these folks to manage. How cavalier of you to tell them not to have kids. Thats a world i dont want to think about. You can be sure our enemies will be re-producing. We will become much like europe with the imbalance between old and young was caused by welfare for the old and lack of incentives to reproduce for the young. It is in the interest of the species to correct this imbalance. Again i dont have concrete proposals to make on this. Probably more can be done thru the tax system and the SS taken from the non-needy old can be transferred to the needy young. But this spells potential boondoggle too. Mike
