Canada is a cold country. People are used to persevering against nature. They will put up with high taxes more readily than the people of most countries.

I'm not sure cold has anything to do with it. Here in freezing Alaska folks feel they have a God-given right to pay zero taxes.

IMO Canadians put up with high taxes because they are the descendants of folks who are less rebellious and more accepting of state authority than Americans. Understand, this is not a criticism of Canadians. My ancestors are from both sides of the border, and quite intertwined with the history of both nations.

Hello Malcolm, I think because the currencies are grinding against monies, and fiats are meshing against dictates, each in turn, taking turns, and once more, we may have to remain quite flexible, able to de-camp one currency bivouac and enter another monetary camp, and then back again, after visiting a series of unfamiliar moolah hell and money heaven. I feel these are already dangerous times, but unfortunately we may have to make complicated moves to fit the times :0(
