Peter, Try it, you'll like it! I've always used Drive Image and have been very happy with it. Easy to install, small footprint, very cheap on ebay. Tried Norton Ghost, but didn't like the cumbersome install that Norton puts you through. And then it was very difficult to completely get rid of Norton when I tried to uninstall—I think I had to go back to a previous clone <g>. Somebody noted recently on this thread, however, that you can run Norton Ghost from a DOS floppy—something I may try sometime just to see how I like the Ghost program. Of course, if you already have Norton on your computer, adding Ghost would not be a big deal. I got Systemworks 2003 PRO on ebay for ~$15. Paragon looks like a very good program, as recommended by Jon Tara and from the info on their website. You'll just have to pay a bit more for it than the others, but might well be worth it. Another reason I forgot to mention why I need the cloning software is that a fresh install of Win2K requires a totally wiped hard-drive, i.e., even your non-OS partitions have to be erased. This is a big problem if you have lots of data on the other partitions, but is completely avoided if you can just restore a clone. wily
