I am trying to forget about being in the forgotten generation.

Think I'll go have a sandwich on that one. Since I am rich I'll have roast beef.

I was born on the cusp of the boomer generation in 1945. Consider myself as the first boomer as i did inhale.
Also helping with parents and many boomers younger than I doing much the same. I am not worried about the forgotten gen, the sandwich gen or the boomers for that matter. My worries are with the young parents who are just starting out. I have tried to bring to the attention of this thread the burdens that are on them as two income earner, young middle class parents. Most of what I get back is "if they cant afford children they shouldnt have any". That is the european solution where the mean age is expect to be at 52 in 2025 i believe while the US will be at 35 with only a 2kid per family projection plus immigration. We dont get there successfully without a strong robust younger middle class. Folks need to deal with imo. Libetarians say let them not procreate and ignore the consequences and socialists say more govt programs. I say no to both and we should start with tax incentives/breaks and involving the private sector in solving this problem. Any ideas?? Mike
