Like the hundreds of taliban leaders spirited away from Afghanistan You still believe that misinformation? That story was discredited long ago. Pulling up "Paperclip" and the Gehlen story is really reaching. We brought Von Braun, etc in because we needed a jumpstart on Rockets. The Russians took the rest. Gehlen had the agents in place in Eastern Europe, and the decision was made to use him. Right or wrong, we were fighting the Soviet Empire, and I am damn glad they did. If you want to have fun with conspiracies, read Chomsky. But post him to the Bush thread, will ya?
