I also think he may have some heartland and southern states but not the rust belt or coasts. States like Michigan won't go Bush this time... or Ohio... or PA. Farming states that are the recipient of the Bush treasury looting may vote for him but there isn't enough there imho.

When pollsters figure out that some polarizing anger out there has a deeply divided electorate... can you think of any time when that didn't mean an upset?

In 1998 there was anger and the republicans were upset, polls didn't see it. In the CA race there was anger and Davis was upset. I think it will be a throw the bums out kind of thing.

I also think this economy and Iraq will be about the same in 6 mos as today. On economic matters the white house is really out of it. They missed china and india all along, and now globalization is screwing them all up. 8% GDP and retailers are expecting a weak christmas, yeah that sounds normal. uh huh
