Hi! Wonder if you would give your views to a lurker? I have a new PC with WINXP Home Edition. Don't know why but the sound (music) associated with the opening of Windows does not occur. It did when I started the PC for the very first time. Since getting the new PC I have hooked up a digital camera, a HP Laser and a scanner. The sound when I shutdown (close windows) etc. works fine. Other sounds work great. But the startup refuses to operate. Any suggestions? I have gone through the steps of control panel, sounds, select an event, select a sound etc. Funny thing is that if I test a sound it works okay but during actual startup of the PC I get no sound(music) Waaah! TIA
